Beginning in September, Wavecontrol’s high-frequency WPT, WPF3, WPF6, WPF8 and WPF18 probes will have a new screw-type connector, making them sturdier and easier to connect to the SMP2 measurement device. The new connector is compatible with the new SMP2 models.

Wavecontrol has improved the radome design for its high-frequency WPF3, WPF6, WPF8 and WPF18 probes. The new material and design improves response and sensitivity at high frequencies. In mechanical terms, the new design makes the WPFx probes sturdier.

Wavecontrol’s calibration laboratory has once again passed ENAC certification, allowing it officially to make certified calibrations of electromagnetic field measurement devices. The scope of the certification of the laboratory was successfully extended to both higher and lower frequencies. ENAC certification is recognised worldwide by ILAC under mutual recognition agreements and valid in a large number of countries.

Beginning in August, Wavecontrol will start offering free SMP2 webinars for its customers. These webinars present the main functions of the devices and allow customers to learn how to use the measurement device more quickly. On July 15, 16 and 17, Wavecontrol showed its SMP2 and MonitEM products at the Mobile World Congress in Shanghai in cooperation with its local distributor, Beijing TCST, and with the support of ACCIÓ. Wavecontrol took advantage of the opportunity to present its latest developments to companies in the telecommunication industry and laboratories. The event was a success all round and Wavecontrol looks forward to taking part again next year.

Organised by Aspen Electronics, Wavecontrol’s distributor, the SMP2 device was presented to the English market. Many companies expressed their interest in how the SMP2 can help them comply with the new European Directive 2013/35/EU on protection of workers against exposure to electromagnetic fields.
