Smart City Expo World Congress | Barcelona, Spain
Wavecontrol will be at Smart City Expo World Congress 2025!

We are very happy to announce that we will be at Smart City Expo World Congress 2025! Since 2011, SCEWC has been the world’s largest and most influential event for cities and urban innovation. We wouldn’t miss this powerful gathering of key players in the sector and we will be showcasing our electromagnetic field (EMF) measuring solutions to help shape a new urban paradigm—ensuring that technological advancements do not come at the expense of public well-being.
The event will take place at Fira Barcelona – Gran Via, from November 4–6. You will find us at the Stand Catalonia 3:D50 – Booth 8.
This year at Smart City Expo, we’re launching two exciting challenges: the Smart EMF Challenge, for cities looking to easily monitor electromagnetic fields, and an R&D project for EV charger manufacturers, focused on assessing EMF exposure and improving product certification. If you’re interested in joining, you’ll find more details about each challenge below. Just fill out the form, select the initiative you’d like to participate in, and book a 30-minute meeting with our team to explore all the details.

Join Us at Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona and Take Part in Our Innovation Challenges

Wavecontrol invites 5 smart cities to take part in the Smart EMF Challenge, a free pilot initiative using plug-and-play IoT sensors, requiring no technical effort.
The goal is to monitor EMF emissions from key urban infrastructure such as telecom antennas, WiFi, and connectivity services, and to promote transparency and environmental safety.
Smart cities already measure air quality and noise. Now they can also make the invisible visible: electromagnetic fields. Monitoring EMF data helps build public trust, supports transparent communication, and strengthens the ability of local authorities to respond to citizens’ concerns about exposure.
Selected cities will receive full technical support and guidance to deploy the pilot and start monitoring. This is a unique opportunity to join an international collaborative project, share experiences, and lead in digital transparency and urban innovation.
🚀 Do you want to be one of the 5 pioneer cities? Join the challenge!
We invite manufacturers of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment to join a Research & Development (R&D) project focused on assessing human exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) emitted by EV chargers. The goal is to support compliance with international standards and improve product certification.
Strategic R&D Partnership
This initiative aims to establish accurate measurement methods for EMF exposure, tailored specifically to EV charging systems. While general exposure guidelines exist, there are no specific standards for EV chargers. Understanding the EMF behavior of your devices is key to developing reliable validation and certification protocols.
Benefits for Manufacturers
Participating companies will gain:
- Free and confidential access to their EMF measurement data
- Opportunities to optimize charger design
- Insights into measurement methods and regulatory requirements
Collaboration Framework
Our commitment is based on scientific rigor and confidentiality:
- Guaranteed Confidentiality: All data and measurements will be treated as confidential and used solely for research purposes. No public disclosure will be made.
- Technical Report: Each participant will receive a detailed report with the results of the measurements conducted on their equipment.
Let’s connect to explore how this collaboration can drive innovation in EV charging.
